About us

The history of IB Mthiebi dates back to 1995

When I was studying at university, I never thought I would work in a school. 10 years of experience working in a public school prompted me to establish a private school and implement all of my own ideas there. There were few private schools in Georgia at the time. For the first time in Georgia, three private schools received a certificate authorizing their operation. We were one of them.

Our Accomplishments

1995

LTD IB Mthiebi (Boarding School) was granted a license to implement educational programs by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, and the Ministry of Culture Sports and Youth of Georgia

2008

In 2008 LTD IB Mthiebi (Boarding School) obtained international certificate - ISO 9001: 2008 Quality Management System

2011

LTD IB Mthiebi (Boarding School) was authorized and was granted permission to carry out educational programs by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia

2015

LTD IB Mthiebi (Boarding School) obtained an international certificate – OHSAS 18001: 2007, Occupational Health and Safety Management System

2015

Students of IB Mthiebi became honorary members of the National Model UN Youth Summit in New York

2016

LTD IB Mthiebi (Boarding School) obtained an international certificate ISO 9001: 2015, Quality Management System

2016

LTD IB Mthiebi (Boarding School) was authorized and accredited to implement educational programs by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia

2017

A new building was constructed, designed for the High School of General Education

2018

IB Mthiebi obtained international certificate ISO 45001: 2018, Quality Management System and Occupational Health and Safety Management System

2018

In a competition organized by the Swiss Rating Association, LTD IB Mthiebi won the Gold Medal for its contribution to the education system - Permanent Leader of the Field

2018

The first alumni of IB Mthiebi High School received a certificate of vocational education

2019

Students of IB Mthiebi High School won first place in a mock court organized by the Georgian-American University

2019

A space for continuous education - a librarium - was built. It is yet another comfortable environment for students and staff

2020

IB Mthiebi planned and implemented a distance learning system, which enabled the transition of the learning process to the online mode, without any hindrance

2022

External auditory monitoring of the International Occupational Safety and Health Standard ISO : 45001-2018 and Management Control ISO 9001:2015 will be held at IB Mthiebi, in order of recertification

The aim of IB is to give young people opportunities for proper education and development, as well as to create professional perspectives on the labor market. To maintain growing interest, we focus on quality: we evaluate our success based on test scores, identify challenges, and by taking the results into account we take the necessary steps to refine goals for quality improvement and further plans development.
