The teaching process at the IB Mthiebi Elementary School is conducted using thematic projects based on an international standard teaching model. All the subject departments are categorized around a specific topic.

• During the project the student attempts to combine the knowledge gained from different subjects, which develops his / her cognitive, motor and social skills. This week’s theme is “How do we live together on the planet”, and all curricular or extracurricular activities are tailored to this theme. The implementation of this project creates an opportunity to introduce mathematics and natural sciences in the primary school according to the IB standard starting from the next school year
