At IB Mthiebi, a successful pilot student project, Learn and Teach, enthusiastically engages the 11th graders. The students trained within the project by the academic departments make up for missed hours in elementary school in a variety of areas, and also take on the role of a teacher, if necessary. The goal of the project is to develop students’ skills such as: making good professional choices, responsibility, time management, and independent decision-making.
