IB Mthiebi implemented a large-scale field project with the goal of visiting churches and monasteries as historical monuments, learning about monastic life, making donations and Easter offering to the monks, and having interesting conversations with them. More than 1,300 elementary, basic and middle school students participated in the project. They studied the historical and architectural significance of the monasteries before visiting them. The day ended with a fun and interesting picnic.
