Successful IB Mthiebi visit to the UK – Cambridge.
On November 14-16 this year IB Mthiebi founder and CEO Nino Chikvaidze and English teacher Tamar Rukhadze were on a working visit to Cambridge.
The visit was organized by the representative of the British educational institution DUKES Musab Nasser Angudi.
Within the framework of the visit a meetings were held with Cardiff Sixth Form and St. Andrew’s Colleges.
The Georgian delegation was received by Cardiff Sixth Form Academic Programs Manager Chris Sweet, who introduced the members of the delegation to the educational system of the college and the current educational processes.
The meeting with Cardiff Sixth Form College Head of STEM programs Jem Pearson was fruitful. He gave IB Mthiebi representatives a detailed introduction to the STEM project management system, the process of working on projects and showed the nuclear reactor created by the students.
Important was the visit to one of outstanding colleges named after St. Andrew where IB Mthiebi representatives were met by the program manager Andy Flower.
The infrastructure visit was followed by a lengthy business discussion about the plans for future cooperation between Andrew’s College and IB Mthiebi. It was decided to introduce GCSE programs for students 14-16 years old at IB Mthiebi.
The Head of the College expressed a desire to sign a memorandum with IB Mthiebi as part of a planned visit to Georgia in the spring.
It was emotional and unexpected to meet with Georgian students from St. Andrew’s College who showed a good will to share their experience of studying at Cambridge with undergraduate students from IB Mthiebi.
Following the visit, a final meeting was held with Mr. Musab Angudi regarding joining IB Mthiebi in the DUKES Education space.
