14.09.2022 – Today is September 14, the new 2022-2023 academic year begins.
It’s been 27 years since IB Mthiebi has been celebrating the start of education. September 14 is the beginning of the new school year and the birthday of IB Mthiebi.
So, today IB Mthiebi turned 27 years old, congratulations!
26.09.2022 – IB Mthiebi Higher School has been continuing University Hour project, which purpose is to get pupils of the senior grade to know about professions and employment perspectives and obtain skills necessary for the student life. The following events were conducted in the Higher School within framework of this project:
Head of Ilia State University Technological Enterprising and Innovations Development Centre for pupils majoring in technical fields and IB Mthiebi Technical School STEAM educational consultant Avto Mgebrishvili conducted interesting interactive meeting for future professions and computer achievements in the modern world.
Caucasus University philologist Levan Kakliani lectured for pupils majoring in humanitarian fields on the humanitarian professions topic, specificity of humanitarian studies, employment perspectives and skills necessary for making success in relevant professions.
IB Mthiebi School Head of Natural Sciences chair Nana Kobakhidze conducted cinema representation and discussion for critical thinking development for pupils majoring in natural sciences under the topic: climatic changes and related problems.
27.09.2022 – IB Mthiebi Higher School humanitarian chair starts large educational public project – the electronic journal issue, which will be managed by Gia Murgulia.
The presentation was conducted on this theme and pupils majoring in humanitarian fields got aware about this project.
The project is based on the humanitarian thinking grounds and implies articles, video and audio materials preparation about the following fields: literature, history, arts, philosophy, psychology, religion, etc.
The journal together with consultant pedagogues will educate and prepare pupils. Some pupils will be selected as editors-in-chief and issue editors, columnists and journalists. Two issues will be made issued annually.
30.09.2022 – IB Mthiebi joined Europe School Sports international day.
Interesting day of sports activities has been scheduled for elementary and basic school pupils within framework of this project.
03.10.2022 – STEAM education system updating has begun in IB Mthiebi. STEAM is synchronized learning approach, which requires purposeful connections and standards evaluation among lesson models. STEAM genuine experience contains two or more scientific, technological, engineering, mathematical and art standards, which shall be taught and assessed among each other.
STEAM education important components are search, cooperation and process based teaching. The project is intended for the 10th and 11th grades technical subjects teachers, they will study robotics, business modeling and business English. The project was created by IB Mthiebi higher school managing team, managed by Director of the School Ramaz Paresashvili and Exact and Natural Sciences School Manager Paata Dumbadze, while the following persons have been invited as consultants and pedagogues for this project:
- Diana Aslamazishvili – Doctor, Georgian-American University Business School Professor, T & d expert, virtual trainer, human engineering and management, IB Mthiebi technical subjects STEAM education invited consultant;

04.10.2022 – For IB Mthiebi Higher School final grade teachers the following meetings were conducted within framework of the University Hour:
- For humanitarian subjects teachers: movie show and discussion for critical thinking development with Marjanishvili theatre Director Temur Kuprava;
- For natural subjects teachers: meeting with Caucasus University Medicine and Healthcare Faculty Dean Giorgi Makharashvili on the theme: Healthcare Policy;
- For technical subjects teachers: show of movie “Atomic Habits Development” under James Cleary’s book.
06.10.2022 – IB Mthiebi 8th grade 10 students have been participating in Erasmus+ youth exchange program “Tolerance Rules”, the venue locating in Croatia.
Within framework of the project IB Mthiebi organized the school students meeting with Ministry of Foreign Affairs International Legal Department Director Irine Bartaia who conducted conversation on the theme: European values and Human Rights.
The abovementioned meetings helped the students to enhance their knowledge on these themes, to be active in the debates conducted with their peers and to be able to express interesting judgment on relevant issues. Salome Chkheidze and Giorgi Bakhtadze were involved in these meetings organization.

07.10.2022 – According to the Memorandum executed between „Spectrum“ College and IB Mthiebi, students of 11th grade choose short-term university courses and master up various professions where students’ concern and involvement plays the important role. 60 statues of the eleventh grade have been involved in this project this year.
Today Director of Spectrum College Mate Tikadze met 11th grade students of IB Mthiebi and talked to them about importance of professional education and its special role in their future career.
Our students will spend interesting days in the college for next three months where they will be taught by Director of the college and his colleagues.
Thank very much Spectrum College and Mate Tikadze for cooperation and important contribution they made to our students’ education.
07.10.2022 – Today international educational exhibition was held in IB Mthiebi, which was organized by American-Georgian Education Centre LEAD and our school; within framework of the meeting students of 10th, 11th and 12th grades of our school met representatives of universities from various countries of the world. Students of the high school had opportunity to get data about universities, their programs as well as information in relation to study abroad and financing of that. As a result in IB Mthiebi basis was created for collaboration among European and American universities.

08.10.2022 – Today IB Mthieb hosted parents. They met with elementary, basic and higher school managing teams, mentors and various subjects teachers. Program presentations were held when parents got data about academic topics, the mentoring system, motivation projects and activities, daily regime operation and importance of that.
10.10.2022 – For IB Mthiebi Higher School final grade teachers the following meetings were conducted within framework of the University Hour:
For students majoring in humanitarian sciences: the panel discussion was conducted about human rights and children’s rights, which was held by Mariam Melkadze- lawyer, the project coordinator, Ilia State University human rights division.
For students majoring in natural sciences: visit to Natalia Kvantaliani’s blood bank was planned where Medical Director Marine Sreseli talked with students about the blood bank activities and importance of those as well as she talked the students about the laboratory activities and component preparation methods.
11.10.2022 – Administrative and academic personnel health condition was examined in IB Mthiebi, which was held by the School physician Shorena Rurua and invited physicians Kamila Murajova and Nana Abuashvili.
13.10.2022– IB Mthiebi 11th grade students visited Spectrum College where they met Director of the College Mate Takidze who conducted interesting excursion for them, including infrastructure and professional programs available in the College.
- 11th grade students will complete short-term certification course in Spectrum College for next three months and master up various professions proceeding from their interests.
- Our students interest and involvement in this project is extremely deep.
- IB Mthiebi thanks very much Spectrum College teachers and Director Mate Tikadze for cooperation and important contribution they made to our students’ professional orientation.
13.10.2022– For IB Mthiebi Higher School final grade teachers the following meetings were conducted within framework of the University Hour:
- For students majoring in humanitarian sciences visit was scheduled to GIPA University where International Relations Expert Ekaterine Chavchanidze met the students and talked about international relations as a profession and employment perspectives as well as skills necessary for this profession. Interesting workshop was conducted during the meeting.
- For students majoring in natural sciences Medical Doctor and Georgian National University lecturer Lali Kortonashvili visited IB Mthiebi who conducted with students interesting discussion on medical ethics and shared her significant practical knowledge in relation to first medical aid to be rendered in various situations.
20.10.2022 – A management meeting was held in IB Mthiebi, where current academic and administrative processes, new products and priorities, future plans and goals of the school were discussed. Also, the work management packages of elementary, basic and high schools, administrative services and departments were approved.
At the end of the session, General Director Nino Chikvaidze made a presentation of the development plan of IB Mthiebi, which she should present in a few days, together with Financial Director Ana Javakhishvili, at the IB headquarters in Frankfurt, at a meeting with partners, within the framework of the development prospects project.
20.10.2022 – The visit of the students of the graduating class of the natural sciences department of the IB Mthiebi High School to the Lugar laboratory was very interesting.
Within the university hours, they were hosted by Gela Mgeladze, the biosafety manager of the laboratory, who gave the students a tour of the Lugar laboratory, introduced its history, the specifics of its activities, and its main directions. Such experience is especially important for those students who intend to continue their studies in universities in the medical direction.
21.10.2022 – Students of the humanitarian direction of IB Mthiebi get to know the professions that are interesting to them
The students of the graduating class of the high school, who intend to continue their studies in the field of law, criminal or civil law, got to know the specifics of working in this field within the university hours and visited Tbilisi Educational University named after Guram Tavartkiladze, where the students were hosted by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Professor Givi Lobzhanidze and the The head of the faculty’s quality assurance service, Professor Nino Bochorishvili. They talked to the students about the professions and main activities of the law field. Also, a course of practical investigative actions was held for students in the forensics laboratory, which was conducted by the head of the forensics laboratory, Davit Chagunava.
21.10.2022 – The students of the technical direction of IB Mthiebi are deepening their knowledge in the field of technology.
A visit to Alte University was planned for the students of the graduating class within the university hours, where the students were hosted by Nana Dikhaminjia – director of the Digital Transformation Center of Alte University, professor of electrical and computer engineering, who gave a lecture on the topic: Modern world – technological changes and their role in our daily life and various professions, computer Engineering and machine learning as a new professional opportunity.
21.10.2022 – In the elementary school of IB Mthiebi, an educational integrated project “My School” was held for 5, 6 and 7-year-old students, within the framework of which the students got to know and see the school environment.
Within the framework of the project, students met the school principal, from whom they received symbolic gifts. They visited the library space, sports hall and cafeteria, visited the doctor’s and psychologist’s office, the high school and the natural sciences laboratory hosted small students, where they conducted fun scientific experiments.
Within the mentioned project, students acquired social and public relations skills in a foreign environment.
24.10.2022 – A sports-relaxation day was planned for the students of IB Mthiebi High School within the framework of the “Around Georgia” project.
Within the framework of the project, the students visited the sights in Sighnaghi, the cultural monuments of the Armazi valley and the Dzama valley.
Under the leadership of the Department of Sports, various sports games were held
The goal of the project is to familiarize the students with the sights, experience participating in a hike and expedition, maintain ecological hygiene at the end of the hike, and clean up nature.
25.10.2022 – “See the future” – a new project of IB Mthiebi for high school students:
Within the framework of the mentioned project, Tinatin Berdzenishvili, General Director of Public Broadcasting (Pirveli Arkhi) visited IB Mthiebi today, who held an interesting meeting with students of humanitarian school.
The meeting was aimed at in-depth introduction to television professions, showing the format of practical work directly in the television space, how programs are made, how television and radio work, who are the people who provide broadcasting and what is the modern world adjusted television and journalist profession.
Today’s meeting also laid the foundation for future cooperation between IB Mthiebi and television.
The organizer of the meeting was Gia Murgulia, a consultant and teacher of the Humanitarian School of IB Mthiebi, as well as a member of the Supervisory Board of the “Pirveli Arkhi”.
26.10.2022 – Within the framework of the “Become an author” project of the transit school of IB Mthiebi and the “Dialogue with the author” project of the library, students of grades V-VI hosted Tamar Gegeshidze, the author of preschool bestsellers, in the library and classrooms.
The writer answered a lot of interesting questions of children and talked to them about the way she turned from a reader to an author.
31.10.2022 ISO 45001 labor safety and healthcare external audit was conducted successfully in IB Mthiebi, and it was evaluated in strict accordance to international standards. Audit evaluated the following:
- The school compatibility to labor safety norms,
- Labor safety and healthcare protection system,
- Safety norms, material resources, and sanitary-hygienic norms compliance as well as transport infrastructure,
- Medical inventories and the usage norms,
- Compliance with food safety regulations,
- Incidents management, activities conducted and description documentation,
Annual and future activities plans, in relation to the abovementioned appropriate meetings were conducted with:
- IB Mthiebi General Director Nino Chikvaidze,
- Quality and Development Manager Salome Chkheidze,
- Elementary, basic and higher schools managing teams,
- The school administrators, the office manager, the physician, the psychologist, the daily regime manager and the catering chief.
01.11.2022 – Cooperation with universities and professional meetings have been going on. Various interesting meetings were conducted with IB Mthiebi higher school final grade students within the university hour framework dedicated to professional skills development:
- The meeting with a writer Teona Dolenjashvili was scheduled with humanitarian students who talked to them about the conflicts and war arts, people possessing what skills play leading roles and what way tactical activities may be developed;
- Visit to Ilia State University was scheduled for students majoring in natural sciences where they met Head of the Medical School Ivane Abiatari and talked them about specificity and perspectives of study at the faculty of medicine as well as they visited training laboratories where interesting medical practices were conducted for the visitors;
- Visit to the British University was scheduled for students majoring in technical studies where co-founder of the University Misha Gurgenidze conducted the leadership master class dedicated to leader skills development techniques.
01.11.2022 – The elementary school social chair project “Leave Your Imprint” was implemented under STEAM educational system, which unified social science and arts chairs under the same aegis. The project consisted of STEAM educational system following six stages:
- Focusing,
- Details,
- Statement,
- Discovery,
- Presentation,
- Link (interaction)
Within framework of the project the participants:
- Visited historical sites, studied and described various monuments and significant places (focusing on details),
- Became researchers of their country history, discovered interesting facts and ornaments (discovery),
- Created portfolios, wall papers, dummies (link),
- Held presentations (presentation).
They also left their imprints and made message from the past to the future (statement).
04.11.2022 – Sports and arts chairs and tutoring service joint projectToday “Old Greek Games” final event was held and Olympic fire lit up in IB Mthiebi.
Within the project framework V-VI grades students obtained theoretical knowledge about old Greek games and Olympiads as well as they completed practical sports lessons, meanwhile they created necessary attributes and costumes at arts lessons.
07.11.2022 _ Intellectual game “What? Where? When?” November tour organized by a teacher of history Giorgia Gobechia was conducted, in which 10th, 11th and 12th grades students of IB Mthiebi participated.
08.11.2022 – IB Mthiebi representatives visited their German partners in IN head office within framework of the development perspectives project.
IB Mthiebi General Director Nino Chikvaidze, Financial Manager Ana Javakhishvili and Foreign Relationships Service Manager Tato Gakhokidze visited IB head office in Frankfurt. It has been cooperating with IB School since 2008 and is a co-partner.
Within this visit framework the founders’ meeting was held where the German partners heard and made positive assessment to the activities implemented by IB Mthiebi as well as the Parties considered strategies and significant topics.
The participants set their future cooperation plans and perspectives, especially in the infrastructural development field.
Besides, this tour of the delegation included visit to Karlsruhe IB Carl Schmidt School.
08.11.2022 – Autumn festival in IB Mthiebi. Small pupils of elementary grades welcomed all staff members of the school, their classmates and parents with the baskets full with aromatic and colored gifts.

09.11.2022 – Free University representatives visit to IB Mthiebi
The final grade students had meeting with the Free and Agrarian University representatives – Media Manager Gaga Kapanadze and Programs Coordinator Tea Khinchagashvili who told IB Mthiebi students about the University programs and faculties, specificity of studies and student practices.
09.11.2022 – Professional skills development meetings continue within framework of cooperation with various universities.
IB Mthiebi the final grade students visited Caucasus University
They had meeting with a professor Natia Asatiani who talked the students about media and communication studies, what skills a person should obtain to make correct communication and how we can develop public relations skills.
11.11.2022 – Japanese researcher of the Georgian culture and translator Yasuhiro Kojima’s visit to the elementary school
Students of the 6th grade, within the Georgian language and literature project framework, had a meeting with a Japanese translator Yasuhiro Kojima who translated many Georgian writers’ works for Japanese readers, the first of which was Nodar Dumbadze’s “I, Granny, Iliko and Ilarioni”.
The meeting was held under the hybrid regime and Mr. Kojima told about translation of the works created by Nodar Dumbadze and his impressions. He also read an extract from the story “Hellados” translated into Japanese.
14.11.2022 – IB Mthiebi third grade pupils made great turmoil from Lindgren stories. The pupils arranged interesting TV programs and played their favorite characters’ roles. IB Mthiebi congratulations with favorite writer birthday!
Georgian language and literature teachers implemented joyful and interesting project – Nino Giorgadze and Ana Gogoladze together with Arts teacher Ana Japaridze as well as mentor teachers Tamar Kapanadze, Mariam Kipshidze, Mariam Asanidze, Nino Kapanadze, Eka Gogoladze were directly involved in that.
15.11.2022 – Georgian language and literature chair project – Meeting of Two Authors, which goal is to contribute to pupils’ free thinking development as well as creative writing components and stage mastership study.
Within framework of IB Mthiebi elementary school project Creative the event was held, participants of which were V and VI grades pupils. Within framework of the project the pupils:
- Studied Astrid Lindgren’s, Revaz Inanishvili’s, Mark Twain’s and Nodar Dumbadze’s biographies and creative works;
- kept diaries actively, created comics and the epistle genre texts;
- Represented the characters’ essence and main point of the works perceived by their own vision;
- All the events were created as theatrical performances and musical acts.
The project was implemented under STEAM educational system where Georgian language and literature chair, Author’s Hour and ART Studio made joint activities.
Teacher of Author’s Hour philologist Levan Kakliani was the project’s script writer and mediator.
15.11.2022 – IB Mthiebi higher school was visited by Georgian –American University.
Gaus Marketing and Communications Service Head Giorgi Taktakishvili met the final grade students and conducted an interesting discussion.
Topic of the meeting is marketing as a quickly growing and changeable industry, what skills a person should have to make success in this field, how we may develop creative thinking, what means and “Think out of box” strategy and what way it works as well as how it influences on our daily decisions.
17.11.2022 – IB Mthiebi natural sciences school final grade students were visited by PhD of Biological Science, Professor Nana Dvalishvili who is also expert of National Assessment and Examinations Center.
The invited speaker conducted very interesting conversation about achievements of the modern genetics and its practical values.

18.11.2022 – quality management international standard ISO 9001:2015 external audit recertification was conducted in IB Mthiebi, which was conducted by Intertec leading international auditor Javidan Melikova.
The following was verified within framework of the audit: the organization management systems, annual activities plans, ISO 9001:2015 standard conformity, personnel competence verification, 2020-2021 academic year activities analysis, internal audit forms and analysis, the organization development directions, activities quality under the permanent enhancement principle, human resources management quality by officials of the organization.
24.11.2022 – STEAM system adjusted study process was conducted in IB Mthiebi secondary school. Lessons were conducted under the multidisciplinary direction in 11th humanitarian grade.
Within the project framework the war topic was considered in the Georgian and world literature, history and arts and it was represented through systemic relations among lessons.
Purpose of the project is to provide vision and assessment of the problems actual for society in various aspects.
25.11.2022 – an interesting meeting was conducted for the final grade students of IB Mthiebi high school concerned in psychology.
Within framework of the university hour Grigol Robakidze University Humanitarian and Sciences School Dean Nino Shoshitashvili and psychologist Tamar Doreuli visited IB Mthiebi school.
They held interesting discussion with the students on the psychology topic, told about that as profession and employment perspectives for those who have chosen this profession, basic techniques applied in a psychologist activity and what skills are necessary to fulfill activities under this profession.
29.11.2022 – A new book by Gia Murgulia “Half Past Eight”. Presentation of the book was held in the Free Theatre before friends and readers on 28th November.
The book titled “Half Past Eight” tells about everything, which we may call our life: love, literature, Georgia, arts and creative activity…
The mankind saved many “thoughts”, “opinions”, “records” and “anecdotes” for us and, of course, all of them were impregnated with aroma of some or another epoch. This book is outcome of our modern colleague opinions and thoughts, which had been created during a number of decades and is represented as the entire book now.

01.12.2022 – Interesting activity on the topic of management role and importance was conducted by the Georgian-American University Business School Professor, Human Engineering and Management Specialist, IB Mthiebi Education System Consultant Dina Aslamazishvili.
The students who had completed this workshop obtained information what skills are necessary for them to fulfill management and leadership, significance of the team work and correct management for various professions as well as in the organizational culture.
02.12.2022 – In consideration of IB Mthiebi and Spectrum college cooperation efficiency, the European Business Association constitutes a party concerned in future activities development.
Within framework of the professional education popularization a meeting was held among IB Mthiebi, Spectrum college and the European Business Association founders who exchanged their opinions about future perspectives. They also sighted the college, got aware about various activities and met IB Mthiebi students who have been mastering up professions in the college at present.
Enhancement of cooperation contributed to young people both theoretical knowledge and additional practical professional experience obtaining and made them opportunity to test their skills in the real environment.
05.12.2022 – In November IB Mthiebi transitional school students mastered up hospitality culture and niceties of table manners; they represented knowledge and skills obtained and transformed it in a certain experience – arranged classrooms in a cafe format where they did honors of the table for their older friends, parents and teachers.
05.12.2022 – IB Mthiebi cooperation with European and the USA educational entities first stage began, which goal has been IB Mthiebi senior grades students involvement in the global educational systems.
STEAM education introduction gave opportunity to high school students and teachers to adjust themselves with international educational systems.
The first meeting was held with Ausrian Webster University; Webster University Psychology Professor Mark Meu lectured senior grades students on the theme: psychology of emotional communication.
06.12.2022 – Orientation meeting on informational technologies and computer engineering held in IB Mthiebi high school. Invited guests were representatives of IB Mthiebi partner – Free University:
Meriko Gogoladze and Natalia Khubashvili – computer sciences and electric and computer engineering program coordinators.
The speakers told future university students told about the abovementioned sphere, teaching specificity, professional directions and employment perspectives.
15.12.2022 – Lessons for IB Mthiebi Exact and Natural Sciences School 11th grade students were conducted under STEAM system.
The project theme: “New technologies, smart house”
Having applied STEAM methodology, the students considered the relation existing between this theme and physics, biology, chemistry and mathematics the theoretical way;
at robotics lessons the students fulfilled practical usage of the issues considered, with technical appliances support. Further the project was summarized together with arts and business teachers.
Within framework of the project the students understood that knowledge of various fields and their interrelation is important to create a common product and fulfill the idea practical implementation.
Students of 11th grade were significantly supported with education obtained in Spectrum college, they possess electricity, plaster board operation and other necessary professions in the college.
They prepared a dummy and showed the technical way where they applied the practical the knowledge obtained.

19.12.2022 – IB Mthiebi 11th grade students participated in UNO modeling international forum, which was conducted through partnership between by Kant Academy and Georgian-American University.
GIMUN 2022 main message – a new stage – regeneration was.
Main challenge for young leaders was obsolete visions regeneration and a new stage creation.
The students participated in UNO modeling procedures workshops, public speaking, debates and negotiations, resolutions preparation and representation of those for the General Assembly.
Within framework of the conference the youngsters could participate in live diplomatic and political processes, they obtained knowledge and experience in the diplomatic practical dimension. Four participating students were:

- Anna Geguchadze
Events of the conference were attended by various countries ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions.
Format of the conference implied United Nations Organization modeling, important global challenges and themes consideration, in particular, the committee activities were conducted on 5 various topics for 3 days.

19.12.2022 – Christmas fair was held in IB Mthiebi together with the Red Cross Society of Georgia.
Students of elementary, basic and senior grades handmade works and new year candies exhibited and sold.
Under this action the students joined the campaign “ They need us” conducted by the Red Cross Society of Georgia, which graced Christmas day for 400 beneficiaries with special necessities.
20.12.2022 – Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University representatives visit to IB Mthiebi.
IB Mthiebi students were visited by representatives of the University Faculty of Natural Sciences: ecologist Vazha Trapaidze, biologist Diana Dzidziguri and a chemist Marina Rukhadze.
They told the students about fields of Faculty of Natural Sciences, advised how they should make the best choice, specificity of study on each of them and expectations of future university students as well as they told about exchange programs, researches and participation in student projects.
20.12.2022 – Literature saloon “Freedom knights – “Tsisferkantslebi and Galaktion” was held in the librarium.
IB Mthiebi humanitarian school students read Tsisian Tabidze’s, Paolo Iashvili’s, Valerian Gaprindashvili’s, Kolau Nadiradze’s, and Galaktion Tabidze’s verses and extracts from their personal correspondence. Musical compositions played by guitar created pleasant mood for the musical conversations.
21.12.2022 – IB Mthiebi cooperation with European and the USA educational entities has going on, goal of which has been set as IB Mthiebi senior grades students involvement in the global educational systems.
A meeting on marketing theme was conducted with Austrian Webster University representative who was the University full professor, Head of Marketing Department Maria Madlberger.
21.12.2022 – Within STEAM education system framework the exhibition was held, which exhibits were the works created at robotics lessons conducted for IB Mthiebi high school students.
10th and 11th technical class students summed up the knowledge obtained during the term and created interesting works, which they formalized and programmed the technical way.
They completed study practices in Ilia University Technological Enterprising and Innovative Development Centre. The following robotics teachers made important contribution to these works creation:

16.01.2023 – Winter camp of students of IB Mthiebi in England. Exciting adventures at Bell English School in London, where students learn general English for two weeks and are involved in various cognitive activities.
27.01.2023 – The Department of English Language of IB Mthiebi introduced teaching with Ted Talk projects within the curriculum of the high school.
The project was implemented in cooperation with a British university. 23 best speakers were selected.
According to the main goal of the project, the students shared their vision and experience with the audience within the framework of the Ted Talk project in order to inspire and think differently about various issues.
For effective communication, it is important to develop such a skill as public speaking, which the student will need in the future both in higher education and in career advancement.
We congratulate our students and teachers on the successful completion of the project and express our special thanks to the British University.
30.01.2023 – The second phase of university hours for the students of IB Mthiebi has started. Last semester was fully devoted to professional orientation meetings.
Now open days are held for the students in the universities of their choice. Students will get to know the university environment where they will start their student life next year:
- they get to know the infrastructure and student spaces,
- meet the representatives of the bachelor’s programs they have selected and receive detailed information from them,
- get acquainted with student projects, the university system and meet the representatives of the administration.
The first visit was planned to our partner Caucasus University and the students got to know the environment that they will be able to use while studying at CU.
01.02.2023 – Parents’ space – another innovative project of IB Mthiebi, which is dedicated to the involvement of parents in the educational process. The project includes conducting lectures/dialogues on various topics.
Such meetings will contribute to a better understanding of modern challenges, raising the culture of school-parent relations.
Within the framework of the project, the first interactive meeting with parents was held, on the topic: How “The knight in the panther’s skin” helps us in raising a child, which was conducted by the head of the project, Gia Murgulia.
02.02.2023 – An interesting meeting took place between the writer Toresa Mosi and the members of the “Modern Readers Club” existing under the library of the IB Mthiebi.
The writer talked to the students about how literature can be a moderator of success. An active dialogue was held around the work of the modern author.

03.02.2023 – In the Transit School of IB Mthiebi the project World of the “The knight in the panther’s skin” is underway, within the framework of which the 5th grade students were hosted by the National Manuscript Center of Georgia.
The visit turned out to be interesting for the students, they had the opportunity to look at the ancient manuscripts of “The knight in the panther’s skin”, express their opinions and finish the visit with fun games.
03.02.2023 – The presentation of the first issue of the school’s e-magazine, “Shta-goneba” was held by the students of the humanitarian direction of the IB Mthiebi High School.
The magazine was presented by an editorial board composed of people who have collaborated with the magazine and run the columns.
The mentioned project was supervised by Gia Murgulia. The presentation of the magazine took place at our partner Caucasus University.
06.02.2023 – At IB Mthiebi High School, the students of directions of humanities and exact and natural sciences are starting the project “Virtus”, which is an interdisciplinary project and all subject unions are involved in it.
The presentation of the project was made by the managers of profile schools at our partner Georgian-American University and Caucasus University. During the course of the project, students will be consulted by university lecturers.
During the project, students will work on various topics and such important issues as:
- “Energies in the world” – School of Exact and Natural Sciences;
- “Artificial Intelligence” – Humanitarian School.
The goal of the project is for the student to “discover something new” based on the studied material and be able to:
- Find, sort, organize information
- record, process data and draw conclusions,
- Establish cause-and-effect relationships
- Develop creative, critical and transfer skills
The student will find and process the theoretical material, deepen knowledge about the achievements of sciences and future prospects, develop scientific research skills; critically and creatively consider the possibilities of the field.
06.02.2023 – Students of IB Mthiebi actively participate in sports competitions. Last week, they took part in a friendly tournament and played a basketball match against the Georgian-American Academy and the British-Georgian Academy.

07.02.2023 – Public reading day of “The knight in the panther’s skin” in IB Mthiebi. The two-week-long project “The world of The Knight in the Panther’s Skin “ has come to an end. The culmination of the project was a public reading of the poem, in which all students and employees of IB Mthiebi participated. The audience had the opportunity to listen to the poem in both native and various foreign languages.
08.02.2023 – the day of commemoration of St. David Agmashenebeli. A celebration of chivalry in IB Mthiebi.
08.02.2023 – In connection with Davit Agmashenebeli’s day and the knighthood, we traditionally invited the parents of our students to IB Mthiebi and today we hosted Parmen Margvelashvili, with whom the little students had an interesting conversation.
09.02.2023 – In connection with the day of commemoration of Davit Agmashenebeli, high school students visited the Georgian National Defense Academy named after Davit Agmashenebeli, they got acquainted with the curriculum of military and civilian higher education, infrastructure, military and civilian specialties.
Primary school students visited the Olympic Museum, where they learned about the Olympic history of Georgian sports. Olympic champion Gela Ketashvili hosted the students. Also, primary school students visited the Olympic Museum, the Fire Rescue Museum, the Soviet Occupation Museum, the National Museum and the History Museum.
09.02.2023 – Parents and their active participation were given a particularly big role in the ongoing events within the project “Chivalry”.
At the invitation of the management team of IB Mthiebi, traditionally, during the week, the little students were visited by their fathers and grandfathers, who had very interesting and fun discussions together.
They talked to the students about the essence of chivalry, humanity and friendship, kindness and love, honor and loyalty.

10.02.2023 – Levan Berdzenishvili’s visit to IB Mthiebi. He led an interesting discussion with high school students on civic activism and the role of youth. The meeting was organized by the representation of young European ambassadors within the framework of the Eastern Partnership program of the European Union.
10.02.2023 – IB Mthiebi supports a friendly country, Turkey, and in order to make a small contribution to their aid, schoolchildren, parents and employees were able to collect various necessary items in a short time: warm clothes, dry and canned food, baby food, hygiene products. The items have been delivered to the Turkish Embassy and are ready to be shipped.

13.02.2023 – For one week, we gathered around some very interesting topics at the Modern Readers Club at Ib Mthiebi Librarium.
Transit School pupils traveled to the magical world of Harry Potter. Together with Levan Kaklyan, they brought the book heroes to life, talked about their character, and read and watched interesting episodes from the story. Also they discussed the relations between Greek mythology and the book. The meeting ended with an interesting and fun quiz.
The youngest pupils of Ib Mthiebi visited the Librarium to “talk about Disney characters”. The meeting was dedicated to Disney cartoons, particularly The Lion King. The children recalled their favorite Disney characters, read excerpts from the story, and watched interesting and key episodes from the cartoon. The children talked about their favorite heroes, their characters and qualities. At the end of the meeting, they colored illustrations and cut out a puzzle with great interest and joy.
13.02.2023 – A new project “Learn & Teach” was launched at Ib Mthiebi aiming at the professional and personal development of teachers. Professional training was planned by all subject departments to improve the teaching quality in the 2023-2024 academic year at Ib Mthieni. The first training was held for teachers from the Department of Mathematics in using e-technologies during the learning process. The training was conducted by High School math and calculus teacher Tina Mgeladze. It was planned to apply this method in practice in the coming weeks.
15.02.2023 – A blitz chess tournament was held at Ib Mthiebi.
Students from 10th, 11th and 12th grades of High School took part in the tournament. The games were chaired by Parmen Gelazonia, the chess teacher at Ib Mthiebi. The winners of the “Winter Championship 2023” are:
- George Gagoshvili;
- Shota Dondoladze; and
- Saba Kalandarishvili.

15.02.2023 – The founder and principal director of the Free Theater, Avto Varsimashvili, met with elementary and High School students. They had an interesting discussion about the history of theater, the purpose of theater and the profession of stage director.
Georgian writer, translator and film director Mikheil Antadze met with the elementary school students.
The discussion revolved around the “Knight in the Panther’s Skin”, how to properly understand its content, and what are the consequences of knowing the poem at this age.
16.02.2023 – The students of Ib Mthiebi had an interesting meeting with the British University representatives as part of the University Hour. The topic of the meeting was an introduction of the job market for different professions, which was led by Misha Gurgenidze, the founder of British University and English Book Education. The students had the opportunity to learn about the basic requirements and skills, which are necessary for any person for professional success and employment, to know how the university helps to develop the necessary professional skills, to find career contacts and their desirable jobs.
17.02.2023 – The pupils of Ib Mthiebi High School getting ready to become students
As part of the University Hour, the students once again visited Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University to get the desirable information about the higher education institutions. They had an interesting meeting with the University representatives, where they were informed about:
- the specifics of national exams and the coefficient assignment procedure by the universities,
- the structure of the universities, their grading system, and the peculiarities of teaching at different departments,
- exchange program opportunities, and
- student life and various projects.
Such meetings inspire the pupils and help them choose the right university and profession. They are already familiar with the University environment where they will begin their student life next year.
22.02.2023 – Interesting and fun English lessons for the first graders. Little schoolchildren worked and presented homemade letters as part of the motivational event “The Living Alphabet”. During the week, they created a fun atmosphere with English songs and poems, and brought the alphabet to life by means of different games.
23.02.2023 – A joint Vocational Education project of College “Spectrum” and Ib Mthiebi for the 11th graders completed successfully. The students are now certified young adults in their desired domains. The project will continue in the coming year.
23.02.2023 – Playing with modern Georgian architecture featured very interesting works by the 11th grade Ib Mthiebi students under the guidance of their architecture teacher Tornike Dadiani.
24.02.2023 – Alex Chikovani, brand strategist and founder of Live.com.ge, held a very interesting meeting with Ib Mthiebi High School students. 27.02.2023 – Ib Mthiebi hosted two Estonian schools Lasnamäe Gümnaasium and Tallinna Tondiraba Huvikool, represented by their director and leading specialists. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the specifics of Tbilisi private school and discuss opportunities of future joint student and youth exchange programs. The meeting was organized by the Youth Association DRONI, which since 2017 has been acting as Erasmus+ Youth and European Solidarity Corps Informational Center in Georgia.

28.02.2023 – A creative project in the English language. Students in fifth and sixth grades at Ib Mthiebi learned about Greek myths in the English language. They studied different myths, gods and goddesses. The project ended with an interesting theatrical performance. The project was conducted under the leadership of the English Department teachers Khatuna Peradze and Nana Kharebashvili.

15.03.2023 – At IB Mthiebi, a successful pilot student project, Learn and Teach, enthusiastically engages the 11th graders. The students trained within the project by the academic departments make up for missed hours in elementary school in a variety of areas, and also take on the role of a teacher, if necessary. The goal of the project is to develop students’ skills such as: making good professional choices, responsibility, time management, and independent decision-making.
15.03.2023 – The IB Mthiebi management team continues to work on the news of the 2023-2024 academic year. The plan was to introduce innovations in English and German instruction. Experts from the Goethe Institute and English Book Education were invited to observe educational processes in the following areas:
- assessing lesson quality;
- determining teacher competence;
- measuring student knowledge;
- conducting training to teachers.
They planned a collaborative process that would contribute to the better standards of the English and German teaching and quality introduction.

17.03.2023 – IB Mthiebi Book Club hosted an interesting meeting with Gia Murghulia for junior and senior high school students interested in literature and art. The topic of the meeting was “The Bible as Literary Inspiration,” with interesting conversations about the biblical model of the world.
The speaker explained how biblical themes are portrayed in world and Georgian literature, talked about the close association of the Bible with art, and explained to the students the symbols of several paintings created on a biblical theme.
20.03.2023 – Students from Ib Mthiebi High School visited Georgian National University SEU as part of the academic hour. A very interesting lecture on the topic: how to choose a profession and what skills should be paid attention to when choosing one was delivered to them. The students also had the opportunity to visit the university campus and get acquainted with the student life.

21.03.2023 – The cooperation between Ib Mthiebi and the Model UN Summit in New York has been renewed. Ib Mthiebi students participated in the Model UN Summit where they gained important experience, tried to see and discuss various topical issues in the world from a different perspective, made friends from around the world, and most importantly, will have the opportunity to share the knowledge and experience they gained with their peers at school.

23.03.2023 – The students of the 10th grade at Ib Mthiebi High School had an interesting meeting with doctor Dr. Manana Kochiashvili, an obstetrician-gynecologist and radiologist at Karaps Medline, as part of the Choose a Profession Project. She introduced the students to the profession of a doctor, talked about the skills a person needs for this profession and the major occupation of a doctor. In addition, the students visited the Caraps Medline Clinic and had the opportunity to learn about the profession on-site.
27.03.2023 – Ib Mthiebi implemented a large-scale field project with the goal of visiting churches and monasteries as historical monuments, learning about monastic life, making donations and Easter offering to the monks, and having interesting conversations with them. More than 1,300 elementary, basic and middle school students participated in the project. They studied the historical and architectural significance of the monasteries before visiting them. The day ended with a fun and interesting picnic.
29.03.2023 – IB Mthiebi is launching an electronic humanities publication called “Shta-Goneba” (The Inspiration). The journal aims to promote humanities education and take the school on an interesting new path. This type of education shapes the social and academic identity of a society.
The journal presents students’ works under the following rubrics: literature, history, psychology, philosophy, art, politics, fashion and design, cooking, law, religion, and “Our Writers”.School students, their parents, and teachers will be involved in the release of the electronic journal.

30.03.2023 – Nana Dvalishvili, a member of the Biology Group of the National Examination Center, Full Professor and Doctor of Biological Sciences, visited Ib Mthiebi.
The meeting was held with the graduating students of the Department of Natural Sciences.
The invited guest briefed applicants on the exam program and talked about the test structure, the timing and other technical aspects of the exam.
31.03.2023 – The 11th graders of Ib Mthiebi High School learn about professions through interesting meetings as part of academic hours.
This time, the students met with Avto Mghebrishvili, Head of Tech Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development Center at Ilia State University and STEAM education consultant of Ib Mthiebi Technical School.
He held an interesting interactive meeting about the professions of the future and introduced the students to the most demanded fields today and in the coming years, talked about the opportunities to gain knowledge, skills and experience necessary for the desired professions and digital achievements of the modern world, which have created a number of interesting and in-demand professions in the labor market.

01.04.2023 – IB Mthiebi Elementary School hosted an integrated creative motivational Art and English Language Project.
The third graders composed very interesting works, traveled in space, learned about the solar system, planets, and first space travelers. They shared their knowledge with each other.
04.04.2023 – Today, Expo Georgia exhibition area hosted the concluding creative conference of IB Mthiebi academic year.
At the conference, students presented models, papers prepared during the year on relevant topics, and the electronic journal, which is the platform for free thinking and expression of ideas.
IB Mthiebi’s priority for the 2022-2023 academic year is the introduction of the STEAM education system, in which the annual education system is based on project-based learning. This allows a student to answer the question: “Why am I learning this and where and how will I use it?”
IB Mthiebi, the universities and Spectri Vocational College worked together during the academic year to achieve the common goal.
It is important that students, teachers, educational coordinators, as well as parents participate in the whole process together.
Representatives from the Ministry of Education and the Resource Center, Didube Administration (Gamgeoba) and partner universities, as well as Spectri College officials participated in the conference.
06.04.2023 – IB Mthiebi was visited by the representatives of the Technology and IT University of Poland.
The meeting was held with 11th graders and was aimed at informing students interested in pursuing their studies in Poland and introducing them to the university and its programs.
07.04.2023 – The Khareba Festival at IB Mthiebi.
10.04.2023 – An interesting meeting was held for IB Mthiebi High School students on “How to Plan the Future”.
At the meeting, the students had an opportunity to get information about the options they have if they are interested in continuing their education abroad, how to choose a country and university, how to get funding and what steps to take in order to achieve the desired goal.
The meeting was led by Besik Kiknadze and David Kalandarishvili, who have long and successfully cooperated with Ib Mthiebi and helped the students to enter European and American universities.
10.04.2023 – An interesting meeting was held for the 10th grade students of IB Mthiebi High School at the LEADERFOOD enterprise as part of the “Choose a Profession” project.
Irakli Dumbadze, founder of LEADERFOOD, hosted the students and made a presentation of the company. He introduced the students to the profession of a food technologist, informing them about the necessary skills for this profession and work specifics.

12.04.2023 – Charity at IB Mthiebi continues
With the money raised from the charity Easter exhibition and sale, our students presented Easter offering to large families living in Didube District and congratulated them on the Easter.
We thank the Didube District Gamgeoba (Town Council) for their special support.
25.04.2023 – IB Mthiebi students at CERN
Based on the collaboration between IB Mthiebi and the Georgian scientists from the European Organisation for Nuclear Research, a visit to Geneva was planned and organized for students who excelled in the internal school competition.
As part of the visit, the group members familiarized themselves with the main devices and their operating principles within the ATLAS and ALISE scientific-research experiments, and viewed the museum exhibit of the first accelerator NS (Synchrocyclotron) at CERN. They watched the DCVP-Data Centre in action and attended lectures by Georgian and foreign physicists working at CERN on modern physics, scientific achievements and the purpose of this research, the role and necessity of physics in the development of various professions and modern society. The following scientists worked with the children during the visit:

- Monica Coutille, who assisted the students during their visit to the CERN laboratory in France.
As part of the educational tour, the students visited the United Nations office in Geneva. A meeting was held with the Permanent Representative of Georgia to the UN Office, Mr. Alexander Maisuradze, who gave an interesting guided tour to the students.
27.04.2023 – A simulated national English language exam was held for the 12th graders of IB Mthiebi. The exam took place in the computer classes of our partner, Caucasus University. The simulated exams help students to prepare for the kind of exams they will have to take during their National Admission Examinations in the summer.
Many thanks to Caucasus University for their active participation and cooperation in developing the skills of our 12th graders.
28.04.2023 – An interesting meeting with Nato Toronjadze, Vice Dean of GAU Business School, was held for 11th grade students of IB Mthiebi High School during the school hour. The topic of the meeting was: The entrepreneurship and start-up business, how to start implementing your ideas, how to create/market/sell a product or service and what skills and knowledge are needed for this.
01.05.2023 – Interesting meetings continue at the IB Mthiebi Librarium “Book Club”. Primary school pupils were particularly impressed by literature about Georgian myths, mythical heroes and their world, as well as watching cartoons with a mythological viewpoint.
The 3rd and 4th graders were met by an art historian Tamar Chkhatarashvili, who introduced the most difficult issues to the little ones in a very simple, clear and interesting way. The meeting also discussed Georgian folklore and mythological passages in Georgian cartoons: Komble, Tsuna and Tsrutsuna, Enmity.
The last session on Georgian myths ended with a workshop. Based on the heard myths, the students made a yearly calendar on which they drew illustrations with the characters and stories interesting to them.
02.05.2023 – An interesting meeting was held at the IB Mthiebi Librarium ‘Book Club’ with the writer and traveler Guro Davitlidze.
The pupils of the transit school went to the world of Jules Verne and had an interesting conversation with the invited guest to discuss the topics most interesting to them.
Our traveler, sharing his experiences and impressions in very interesting conversations, satisfied the students’ interest in travel and adventure and planned a future trip together with the young students to the different corners of Georgia.
05.05.2023 – Freedom and Responsibility – interesting conversations with Gia Murgulia continue at IB Mthiebi, where the main goal is to achieve the nationwide goals of universal education.
The meeting with the students was held within the framework of the Librarium “Book Club” project where they discussed what the freedom of a person and a state is, using the example of the Bible and literature. The meeting participants talked about what these two notions – freedom and responsibility for human life – mean.
The dialogue lecture by Gia Murgulia with ample interesting literary and life examples became even more interesting and understandable for our students.
05.05.2023 – Stories of successful IB Mthiebi students continue.
We would like to introduce you Liza Marsagishvili, a 12th grader from IB Mthiebi, who won the National Academic Olympiad: she was one of the top 10 students in English and one of the top 50 in Russian and German.
Liza is also a winner of the Black Sea University Subject Olympiads: Mathematics, English and Georgian, and won a 40% scholarship from the University. Liza is a gold medalist at Ib Mthiebi.
IB Mthiebi congratulates her and wishes her more success.
08.05.2023 – Every year, on May the 8th, the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day is celebrated to express the uniqueness and unity of the international humanitarian movement.
This year’s event included IB Mthiebi volunteering students who participated in a variety of educational and fun activities with Georgian and Ukrainian children.
We believe that kindness will make the world a better place.
11.05.2023 – Imitated national exams for 12th graders of IB Mthiebi were held in the following subjects:
- Georgian language and literature;
- Mathematics;
- History;
The exams took place in the computer labs of our partner, Georgian National University (SEU). The imitated exams help students get prepared for the same types of exam they will have to take to pass their national entrance exams in the summer.

12.05.2023 – IB Mthiebi Transit School turned into a bread museum for one day.
The students exhibited up to 30 types of unique breads and presented them to visitors.
Dressed in national costumes, the students demonstrated their knowledge of Georgian folklore and shared it with guests of all generations through poetry, songs, costumes and Georgian traditional flavors.
The Folklore Days continue at IB Mthiebi.
15.05.2023 – A motivational final German and Russian language lesson on “The Animal World” was held with 5th grade students at IB Mthiebi Transit School.
The students visited the zoo, watched animals, made a presentation of their handmade books and shared their knowledge in foreign languages.
The students donated their handmade books to the school library.
15.05.2023 – As part of IB Mthiebi 10th grade “Introduction into Professions” educational project, the students visited College “Spectri”, hosted by college director Mate Takidze, who gave them an interesting tour of the infrastructure and presented the vocational programs.
The students will take short-term certification courses at the College starting next academic year and will learn different professions of their interest.
IB Mthiebi is very grateful to the staff at College “Spectri” for their cooperation and important contribution to the students’ career guidance.
18.05.2023 – IB Mthiebi participates in a study (Timss) organized by the International Association (IEA) which aims to investigate the achievements of 4th and 8th graders in maths and science.
Students from all over the world, their parents, teachers and the school principals take part in the study. The project involves integrated testing by combining different subjects and is conducted entirely electronically. Grade 4 and 8 students from the city of IB Mthiebi took part in the testing.
The project is designed to measure and develop students’ knowledge, critical thinking and learning skills.
19.05.2023 – “Future IB Mthiebi” continues its one and six year strategic planning and prioritization for the academic year 2023-2024 with a significant focus on incorporating the STEAM methodology into educational and learning processes. IN the current academic year, IB Mthiebi has successfully introduced the STEAM methodology to the academic projects and lessons within today’s educational system.
Engineering, economics, robotics, pre-calculus, basics of humanistic thinking, business English, mathematics and architecture were subjects that played a special role in the realization of the “Future IB Mthiebi” Project by the school pupils.
The X and XI grade students created and presented their mission statement, concept, curriculum design, technologically equipped school infrastructure and business plan as well as a new form of lesson development oriented on teaching.
The ideas presented by the joint participation and collaboration of the administration and students of IB Mthiebi will be taken into consideration when planning the next academic year at IB Mthiebi High School. The outstanding projects were:
- Theoretical-practical work on the conceptual outline of the Future IB Mthiebi Project from grade 10 T1. Project presenters: Alexander Chovelidze, Petre Kalichava, Demetre Sajaia and Giorgi Lomtadze. Education program coordinator: Ketevan Jokhadze.
- Innovative curriculum package from grade 11H. Project presenter: Gvantsa Dzmanashvili. Education program coordinator: Lela Tabatadze.
They won a well-deserved victory and were awarded prizes. The participation of Lika Sodamonidze and Paata Dumbadze, managers of profile schools, in the preparation of the project is worth mentioning. The project consultants were: Georgian-American University, Spectrum College.
22.05.2023 – Colorful, fun and interesting concluding English lessons for the little pupils of IB Mthiebi. The third graders went to a puppet workshop and brought the storybook characters to life with English performance. The project was led by English language teachers Ana Gabelaia and Keti Kintsurashvili.
23.05.2023 – Davit Natroshvili, Dean of Caucasus School of Humanities and Social Sciences visited students of IB Mthiebi High School.
The invited guest gave an interesting lecture-seminar on mental health and how to avoid stress. The topic was followed by an interesting discussion between the students and the speaker.
25.05.2023 – Psychologist Nana Gogichashvili gave a very interesting lecture-seminar on: the importance of emotional intellect in the age of information for teachers and educators of IB Mthiebi Primary School.
Emotional intellect is vital both in the educational space and in everyday life what in turn determines the mental wellbeing of a person.
In view of the current challenges in the education system, improving the psychological awareness of the teaching staff in this area can be considered one of the important activities.
25.05.2023 – Grade IVa students from IB Mthiebi Elementary School presented a final English language event with a theatrical performance titled “Eureka moment- apple fall! “
As a part of the project, students learned about the topics of scientific origins and mythology, learned about space stories and the connections between space and myth, and got to know the scientists who paved the way for great discoveries. The project ended with an impressive theatrical performance in English.
The project leader was Ana Panchulidze, an English language teacher.
26.05.2023 – The winners of the STEAM educational project “Future IB Mthiebi”, the 10th and 11th graders received memorable prizes from the school directorate. Special awards were given to those students who demonstrated maximum knowledge, creativity and critical thinking skills when working on the project and in the course of its presentation:
- Class 10 T1: Alexander Chovelidze, Petre Kalichava, Demetri Sajaia, and Giorgi Lomtadze
- Class 11 H: Gvantsa Dzmanashvili.

29.05.2023 – Farewell Bell at IB Mthiebi! This year was marked by the 17th graduation of IB Mthiebi: 83 students graduated, including 38 medalists.
Lizi Marsagishvili became an honorary student of Ib Mthiebi.
In honor of the Farewell Bell, the school founders organized a banquet in Kvareli, on the territory of Khareba Winery.

10.06.2023 – An award ceremony was held at the National University of Georgia to honor the winners of the literary contest “Writing a Free Composition”. Alexandre Gugunava, a student of IB Mthiebi School, became the winner of the contest, taking first place. Alexandre received a special prize and 1,000 GEL from SEU (the National University of Georgia).
IB Mthiebi students Lizi Marsagishvili and Gvantsa Dzmanashvili were also awarded.
Teacher Mariam Chikadze and Nona Leshkasheli, head of the Department of Georgian Language and Literature, played a particularly important role in the students’ success.
IB Mthiebi School was awarded for its successful participation in the project.
Mr. Giorgi Amilakhvari, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia and Mr. Gia Kavtelishvili, founder and rector of SEU National University of Georgia, attended the award ceremony.
The competition “Writing a Free Composition” is organized by the authorship and initiative of Mr. Gia Murghulia. And since 2021 the official sponsor, organizer and implementer of the contest is SEU of the National University of Georgia.

13.06.2023 – IB Mthiebi’s first graders have a fun and interesting end of their school year. An annual “Golden Key” was held.
The students summarized the knowledge they gained during the academic year in all subjects. The parents of young students took a particularly active part in the event.
With the help of story puzzles, the students received gold coins, which they exchanged for gold keys, and successfully moved on to the next stage of the school year and became second graders.
14.06.2023 – Pupils of class IVd of IB Mthiebi Primary School presented a final motivational activity by the play called “Planet Smilo”. As the play unfolded, the characters searched for the keys scattered throughout the universe, with the help of which they had to get back the smile locked in the box. At the end of the performance, the children proved once again that the most important thing to them is a smile and happiness.
They are the world, they are the children!

14.06.2023 – The first place winner and gold medalist of the Komarov Olympiad in Mathematics is Nino Sakvarelidze, a mathematics teacher at IB Mthiebi, who teaches our school’s introductory course, Euler’s Hour. We, the directorate of Ib Mthiebi congratulates her on her victory in the teachers’ Olympiad and are proud that she is a part of our team.

“I have been teaching math at IB Mthiebi since 2007. I believe my years at this school have given me a lot of skills. The school has grown and evolved a lot over that period. So we have grown and evolved with it as well.
I believe that the skills I acquired at Ib Mthiebi have contributed greatly to my success.
In 2019, I was excited to take on a new challenge to teach a high school authorized Euler Hour course to grades 5 and 6. The mission was challenging and demanding, but also very interesting.
I would like to thank IB Mthiebi for his commitment to continuing education and development.

Occupational norms of the students and staff and relevance to the requirements of the international standard at the organization will be checked within the audit. The first-year students of the IB Mthiebi elementary school presented the sculptured works, within the motivational activity implemented by the mathematics department – “Study with doing”
12.11.2021 – The IB Mthiebi transit school students were working on the following topics during one week: “Secret of division”, “Time zones of the world”, within the project “Creative”. During the week, in the process of the project development, the mathematics department teachers were actively involved together with the students. The students presented well processed topics and also, technically well-organized digital presentations

The IB Mthiebi elementary school second-year students were actively involved in the integrated motivational activity of the Georgian language and mathematics departments “Decoding the coded proverb”. 15.11.2021 – External audit of the Quality Management ISO 9001:2015 was started at IB Mthiebi, aiming determination the efficiency of the management at IB Mthiebi
16.11.2021 – The presentation of the winner topics of the higher school project “Virtus” – “Transcaucasian traces” was held the IB Mthiebi relax-space, where the students of the precise and natural sciences and humanitarian school were participating. The students presented the processed topics, which were followed by the interesting discussions and were valued with the high scores by the school commission
16.11.2021 – External audit of the Quality Management ISO 9001:2015 was completed at IB Mthiebi, which was held by the international auditor Javidan Melikova from the Intertec. The following was checked through the audit: organizational management systems, annual activitie plans, relevance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard, determination of competence of the human resources, analysis of the works performed during 2020-2021 study year
16.11.2021 – 10th and 11th grade students visited Grigol Robakidze University. The dean of the law faculty of the university – Gulnazi Galdava spoke with the students regarding the perspectives of selection of the profession and presented the university educational programs and educational concept. The students also inspected the criminalistic laboratory, where they were hosted by the head of the laboratory – professor Gia Dekanozishvili
19.11.2021 – Within the dual education, the eleventh-grade students of IB Mthiebi study various needful professions: electricity, web-technologies, repairing the motors of the automobiles, woodcut art, computer networks and systems, labor safety. It was the first study day at the college “Spectrum”
19.11.2021 – Within the project “Triangle” graduating students were met by the dean of the Informatics and Engineering faculty of the Georgian-Americal University – professor Kote Kulijanov, which spoke with the students regarding the role of the high-tech and safety of the personal information
22.11.2021 – Scientific week was held by the IB Mthiebi primary school, which was started with the project “Scientific workshop”. The project was implemented by the Science (natural sciences) teacher – Mrs. Nino Kldiashvili, topic: “Cosmos”. The students together with the parents created and presented amazing “Cosmic World”
22.11.2021 – “Adaptations in the living organisms” – the IB Mthiebi transit school students worked on this topic during one week, within the project “Creative”. The students were involved in the working process with enthusiasm and creatively answered the following major questions: what is adaptation of the living organism within various natural and artificial ecosystems, how adaptations help them to accommodate to the specific essential medium or the variable conditions of the environment
24.11.2021 – At the working meeting of the school heads and sectoral departments of IB Mthiebi the new form of the “Student’s lesson” was discussed and approved, which will be piloted in December and will be applied to the educational procedures since January
30.11.2021 – One day at the primary school – At the IB Mthiebi primary school the project “One day at school” was implemented, which considers complex work of the services at IB Mthiebi, particularly, in-depth study of the psychologist’s, doctor’s, administrator’s, quality manager’s, educational-nursery service’s processes at the primary school. As a result, educational-nursery activities at the primary school were positively assessed

03.12.2021 – University hour – within the project “Triangle” professor Giorgi Abashishvili – dean of the Business faculty at the Caucasus University and PhD in Business Administration met the graduating students of IB Mthiebi. He is also a national consultant of the department of economic and social affairs if UN in Georgia. The students listened to the interesting lecture regarding how to turn the activity you love into profession and how to become demanded on the labor market
03.12.2021 – Dual education at IB Mthiebi – Within the collaboration between IB Mthiebi and college “Spectrum”, one more specialty – occupational safety was added to the planned program for the 11th grade students
07-10.2021 – Meeting with the parents’ council – on December 7, 9 and 10 meeting of the executive team of the primary, basic and higher school is planned with the members of the parents’ council, where the analysis of the activities conducted in November, December working plan and +1 educational system will be discussed. 03.12.2021 – At the IB Mthiebi basic school the academic project “Laboratory” was performed in the period of 22 November – 3 December, with the topics “NASA” and “Book Worm”. Within the project “NASA” the students conducted the research “National role of NASA in cosmic space research”, and within the project “Book Worm” the students worked on the writings by Mark Twain, Charles Dickens and Mitchell. Students characterized the main characters and compared their lifestyle to the real epoque
06-10.12.2021 – On December 06-10 students of IB Mthiebi participated in the “National Educational Olympiad” in the following disciplines: Georgian language and literature, history, English and German languages, mathematics, biology, physics and geography. The first tour of the Olympiad was held online on the internal area of the school. We are proud of our success!
07.12.2021 – At the IB Mthiebi high school internal complex research was conducted within the project “One day at school”, which was performed by the working team. The team is staffed with the heads of the units, whose activities are directly related and ensure safety of the students and employees and management of the healthy educational and nursery processes. 11.12.2021 – Georgian-American University suggests students of 11th and 12th grades of IB Mthiebi the project “Modelled lectures”. Within the project you will be able to select the lecture you want and attend it. You will be able to meet lecturers of various faculties and be involved into the interesting discussions and most importantly, you will become the students of GAU for one day
11.12.2021 – Within the collaboration between IB Mhtiebi and college “Spectrum”, one more specialty – occupational safety was added to the planned program for the 11th grade students. The students which joined this specialty note that after passing this course they will have more critical approach towards adherence to the norms, both in public and private spaces
06-17.12.2021 – At the IB Mthiebi basic school the project “Music everywhere” is ongoing. Within the project, each student interested in music, members of the group “Infadus”, invited by the music teacher of IB Mtiebi – Giorgi Khurtsilava, conducted the masterclass “How to create musical composition”
13-17.12.2021 – At the IB Mthiebi transit school, the week “How to create handcraft items” was conducted with participation of the nursery service and school administration. The students learned and created ornaments and Christmas decorations usind various instruments and materials. Based on the acquired knowledge, students will decorate the classrooms
17.12.2021 – The director and academic council of IB Mhtiebi actively worked on the summary writing statute, which is adapted on both online and school-based students and those, who selected hybrid studies. The school is ready to conduct knowledge summary activities for all three groups of students, which will promote targeted and qualitative planning of the second semester
21-29.12.2021 – December summary rating testing is ongoing in the Primary, Basic and High schools of IB Mhtiebi, both in the classes and online, as well as for the hybrid mode students

10.01.2022 – Training is conducted on auditing, equipment and human resource management for all IB Mthiebi leaders. The training is based on the newest standards ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 9001:2015. The training will be leaded by the Quality Manager of IB Mtiebi, the leading auditor on ISO:45001 and ISO:9001 – Salome Chkheidze. We are ready to create something new and think on continuous development, to give our students’ opportunity to receive the qualitative education
10.01.2021 – The working process was renewed at IB Mthiebi and the day began with the training of the leader group. The training was conducted on the audit conducting technique and human resources management. The training is based on the newest standards ISO 45001:2018 and ISO9001:2015. The managerial and teachers’ teams started planning the second semester, which is oriented to providing the students with the qualitative education.
03.02.2022 – Our school joined the large-scale event “World Read Aloud Day”. The students of 11th grade, along with the school staff, read an excerpt from Jemal Karchkhadze’s novel “Antonio and David” and contributed to the popularization of the book
28.02.2022 – The theme of the Elementary School Week was “Healthy Eating” and our students, along with a graduate student of “IB Mthiebi” Mr. Avtandil Tsetskhladze, summarized the obtained knowledge and applied it in practice in a creative manner; they baked the bread “Fokacha” using the healthiest products as ingredients. Our deep gratitude to Mr. Avtandil for making this day even more interesting
02.03.2022 – Integrated motivational event “One day of spring” and “Letter to Mother” was held at the primary school of “IB Mthiebi” – arranged by the Department of Georgian Language and Department of Education. The students congratulated their mothers on Mother’s Day
04.03.2022 – Students of IB Mthiebi Elementary School summarized the educational theme of the week “Call 112”. They staged various situations using costumes and shared the information they had received during the week in a fun manner
11.03.2022 – From the 2nd to the 11th of March, students of III-IV grades of IB Mthiebi Elementary School participated in the projects “Workshop” and “Character’s Journey in the 21st Century” with enthusiasm, which aims to develop students’ creative skills, teamwork skills, and increase their motivation to learn. Students selected works, episodes, characters, divided the works into stories, created comics, dioramas, and presented them to the audience
11.03.2022 – On March 26, 2022, in the shopping center “Tbilisi Mall” Junior Achievement Georgia – in cooperation with the USAID / Georgia’s (United States Agency for International Development) project “Supporting Entrepreneurship Education in Europe and Eurasia” and with TBC – organizes the exhibition sale of mini-companies involved in the training of the “Entrepreneurship” program; there will be presented the products of the 30 best mini-companies participating in the entrepreneurship program.
One of the 30 mini-companies selected throughout Georgia is a company consisting of 4 students of 11th grade of the Boarding School IB Mthiebi (Mariam Aslamazishvili; Ketevan Zakariadze; Mariam Machaidze; Nikoloz Popov). The established mini-company “Clay-Hulukie” (Creatures of Clay) will take part in the exhibition sale on March 26. Hence, “IB Mthiebi” is going to participate in this exhibition and supporters can attend. Beginning of the event 11am
18.03.2022 – Educational project “Knowledge-box” was held in English and German at IB Mthiebi Elementary School. Within the framework of the project, students summarized the knowledge they had gained during the week through fun and exciting activities
23.03.2022 – This year on March 23, a working meeting was held for teachers of the Department of Mathematics of IB Mthiebi and Mr. Zviad Dekanoidze – a representative of the English Book Education Organization. The purpose of the meeting was to make changes to the elementary school math curriculum for the 2022-2023 school year and to discuss the math curriculum of the International Bachelor Organization (IB) at the PYP level
23.03.2022 – Students created „Traffic Light of Decision“ – Stop, Think, Decide – within the framework of the educational subject “My Desicion” of IBMtiebi Primary school. The aim of the project is for the student to understand the pros and cons of a decision that will help them make the right decision
23.03.2022 – This year during the week of March 21-25, the students of IB Mthiebi Secondary School were instructed on the rules of action in case of emergency. The students received information on the meaning of an emergency, its causes, and possible dangers. Options for danger avoidance were discussed and debated
24.03.2022 – On March 25, Training for the Teachers of the Elementary School (preparatory group, 1st grade, 2nd grade) was held concerning the method to summarize the executed work and the system we use to plan the work to be executed the following week
25.03.2022 – The project “How do we live together on the planet” was planned for the preparatory group and students aged six to seven. The project is integrated and all the departments of all the subjects are involved. At the meeting on March 25 of this year, the elementary school teachers presented the methods required for the project implementation and the planned activities
26.03.2022 – XI grade students of IB Mthiebi participated in the 2022 Entrepreneurship Education Festival. They founded the mini-business company Clay-Hulukies and created beautiful works of clay. Good luck to our students!
01.04.2022 – The teaching process at the IB Mthiebi Elementary School is conducted using thematic projects based on an international standard teaching model. All the subject departments are categorized around a specific topic.

- During the project the student attempts to combine the knowledge gained from different subjects, which develops his / her cognitive, motor and social skills.
This week’s theme is “How do we live together on the planet”, and all curricular or extracurricular activities are tailored to this theme. The implementation of this project creates an opportunity to introduce mathematics and natural sciences in the primary school according to the IB standard starting from the next school year
04.04.2022 – The psychologist, Mrs. Nana Gogichashvili, held a meeting with 11th-grade students of IB Mthiebi. The topic of the meeting was Understanding the Responsibility of the Entrant and Their New Challenges.
It is going to be a crucial and responsible year for our students, which is why their readiness and attitude are of special importance
05.04.2022 – The project “Discover Georgia” was implemented for 5, 6, and 7-year-old students of IB Mthiebi, which envisages summarizing the knowledge gained within the framework of the school project “How do we live together on the planet” in the outdoor space – with the involvement of the teaching team and educators. Students visited churches and monasteries, collected offerings, and conducted relaxing activities in nature
08.04.2022 – The groups of the 5-year-olds of the IB Mthiebi Elementary School summarized the project How do we live together on the planet with an integrated, theatrical performance involving all the subjects participating in the project
08.04.2022 – In the 1st and 2nd grades of the IB Mthiebi Elementary School the project How do we live together on the planet was completed with summarizing lessons. The teachers, together with the students, using different formats and interesting works presented the knowledge acquired during the last two weeks
08.04.2022 The 3-month Vocational Education Course at IB Mthiebi and college Spectrum has been completed. The college supervisors and teachers rewarded our students with certificates. The theoretical or practical knowledge acquired during the course will be extremely useful in their future professions. We are really grateful to the team of Spectrum for such an active collaboration!
13.04.2022 – The final works of the project “Virtus” were defended at the IB Mthiebi High School, within the framework of which the students of the Technical and Humanitarian School presented interesting works on the following topics:
Russia-Ukraine war; Criminal tasks; Weapons – the modern face of war; Traveling through your own mind; Controversy between generations; Crowd psychology; Homeostatic Imbalance in psychosomatic disorders – causes and consequences; Mathematics and Architecture; Electricity and living organisms; Mechanisms of acid rain formation and its effects on living organisms; Plastic and its effects on living organisms; Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis).

14.04.2022 – The project “Walk around Georgia” will be implemented in IB Mthiebi on April 15, within the framework of which students will visit various cultural sights.
This year, for the first time, students of the partner universities are participating in outdoor activities of IB Mthiebi High School to plan an interesting and creative day for students.
Within the framework of this project, we invited Nino Kekelidze – the Doctor of Business Administration, Associate Professor and the Head of the Education Committee of the Georgian Tourism Association – to the school.
With the students, she discussed the importance of tourism in Georgia, introduced them to the different types of tourism and travel, and gave recommendations and instructions concerning the outdoor activities planned under the project.
SEU students talked to students about the importance of student life and implemented fun activities with them about using the resources required for traveling in nature
14.04.2022 – Science picnic in the IB Mthiebi. Project: “Earth is our home – Environment, and Organisms”
Every year the Department of Natural Sciences carries out interesting and creative projects.
It is particularly worth mentioning the project of this year, as after online and hybrid learning, it was within the framework of this project students had the opportunity to work in groups and conduct research at school, which was implemented by students of the elementary and basic school.
One of the main purposes of the project was to help students grasp the depth of environmental problems – the dangers and consequences of water, soil, air pollution.
3rd / 4th graders presented how “Our Neighbors on the Earth – Animals” defend themselves
5th / 6th graders brought to life the Earth’s vast ecosystems – biomes, and presented it all using their own handmade models.
In the process of the project implementation, the students grasped the importance of taking care of the environment.
Basic school students presented this project from different perspective and attempted to incorporate the material studied in physics-chemistry when explaining biological systems.
The work of the Department of Sciences was evaluated with the highest score

15.04.2022 – After a long pandemic, IB Mthiebi launched a large-scale field trip project “Discover and Show Georgia” – a cognitive, relaxing, and charitable tour in the Kartli-Kakheti region, which aimed at discovering unknown sights and historical monuments and sharing them with the public using hashtags.
The project brought together more than 1,300 students from the primary, basic, and high schools and was implemented through the collaboration of the Department of Social Sciences, the Department of Education, and the partner universities.
Within the framework of this event, our students celebrated Easter in the churches and monasteries.
The day ended with a fun and exciting picnic
15.04.2022 – IB Mthiebi Department of Sports organized Relaxation Day to develop gross motor skills in 5, 6 and 7 years old students. The students participated in various sports activities – with the pedagogical team and educators being involved as well
19.04.2022 – We thank the British University for its active cooperation in the process of learning.
IB Mthiebi traditionally continues to do chary activities. Students, along with parents and co-workers, offer homeless people Easter gifts, visit churches, monasteries, and large families
19.04.2022 – Within the framework of the collaboration between IB Mthiebi and the British University, the British University conducted an English language diagnostic test for IB Mthiebi High School entrants to mimic national exams and facilitate their adaptation to the university as the future university students, and receive important test recommendations
02.05.2022 – The project Write, Read, Speak – summarizing the knowledge gained throughout the academic year, launched for the 5, 6, and 7-year-old students in the primary school of IB Mthiebi.
The project involves the cooperation of all subject departments and the Department of Education to develop the student’s reading, writing, and speaking skills and summarize the gained knowledge.

05.05.2022 – The exhibition “Vocational Education for Success” was held in the Vocational College Spectrum, within the framework of which the vocations were introduced, and a competition was organized in the vocations that the students of the school had mastered in the past months.
Students of IB Mthiebi High School participated and won in the following fields:
Construction and Improvement of an Experimental House;
Electricity.
Each vocation in the school competition had a support company that rewarded the successful students.
Nino Chikvaidze, the General Director of IB Mthiebi, gave a speech on the importance of vocational education and current activities at the school in this field and mentioned the achievements of students. Also, our students gave presentations about their motivation and gained practical knowledge in German, English, and Georgian languages.
The exhibition was attended by: The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Georgia – Hubert Knirsch, the representatives of the Vocational Skills Agency, Deputy Director of GIZ PSD TVET SC – Selma Ulrichs, the Deputy Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Georgia – Mariam Lashkhi, the Executive Director of ICCA – Ana Sabakhtarashvili.

10.05.2022 – Georgian American University hosted IB Mthiebi High School students and held a medical master’s class on First Aid for students. At the meeting, students obtained both theoretical and essential practical knowledge. The training was conducted by Dr. Magda Gerantia, the lecturer at GAU Medical School and the instructor of PHTLS course.
The masterclass was led by Nino Kasradze, who is the head of GAU Medical School of Training Center and the coordinator of the American Heart Association International Training Center
11.05.2022 – The IB Mthiebi Academic Team has developed a package of training and educational curriculums for the 2022-2023 academic year. The following persons were also actively involved in the development of the curriculum package: a school doctor, a psychologist, and representatives of higher education institutions. The completed package of the curriculum will be available to students and parents
12.05.2022 – Mariam Gvinepadze, a student of IB Mthiebi, is on the list of winners of Forbes # 30under30. Within the framework of the project, she presented her original book “Three Choices from the Roofs of Our Homes”, which brought her victory.

13.05.2022 – Nato Toronjadze, the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Business of the Georgian American University, met with IB Mthiebi High School students and held a fascinating and interactive meeting on Management of One’s Own Business and Finances and Development of Startups.
At the meeting, students had the opportunity to share their startup ideas and, as the lecture progressed, to gain more basic knowledge about the resources and planning required for the development of a small business
16.05.2022 – German partners – the members of the IB Board, visited the IB Mthiebi, inspected the infrastructure, met with the leaders, and talked about future plans and prospects. The school was visited by: Leila Becker – the IB Board Member; Carola Becker, the Director of IB Affiliates; Richard Schottdorf, the Managing Director of the IB International Cooperation
17.05.2022 – IBMthiebi Pavilion project. The project is a summary of the study conducted by the students of the primary school’s VIII and IX technical classes. Students explored and studied the typology of pavilion designs using the example of the Serpentine Pavilions in London. The students of the technical classes individually made presentations of the study results. Also, models of group-made pavilions were exhibited, which were designed by them.

18.05.2022 – With the support of partner universities, graduating students of IBMthiebi High School of General Education underwent mock national exams on May 16, 17, and 18. These exams were summary of the knowledge of IB Mthiebi entrants and such mock exam helped students to be prepared for the national exams. Exams were conducted on the following subjects: Georgian, English, Mathematics, History, Biology. We thank the partner universities for their active cooperation and significant contribution to the examination
20.05.2022 – Today an interesting meeting was held at the IBMthiebi Librarium between primary school students and Lela Tsutskiridze, a contemporary Georgian writer. Students presented the writer’s poems, short stories, and illustrations based on these works. Ms. Lela answered students’ questions and talked about how she created her characters and illustrations. She mentioned the importance of the reader. Meeting a contemporary writer made a great impression on our students
23.05.2022 – IB Mthiebi launches to introduce the new international food safety standard – HACCP, which ensures more food safety and meets the requirements of Georgian legislation and food safety. Although it has been years since IB Mthiebi obtained two certificates of international standard – ISO 9001 and ISO 45001, it continues to foster quality development and meet the requirements of both the Georgian legislation and international standards
23.05.2022 – The presentation of the 3-year bachelor’s program, which is innovative in the higher education system of Georgia, was held at the Caucasus University – a partner of IBMthiebi. The program is implemented in business administration in cooperation with the University of Rennes, France. Upon completing the program, a student receives a double diploma: from Caucasus University and Rennes School of Business. Tomorrow a meeting with the graduating students will be held, and they will receive detailed information about the curriculum, international academic staff, and an internship in France
27.05.2022 – The School Last Bell in IB Mthiebi. 70 students graduated from the school, and there were issued:
- 22 first-degree certificates (gold);
- 8 second-degree certificates.

31.05.2022 On June 3, the annual summarizing creative and relaxation day will be held at Ilia Lake in Kvareli, to which all students from IBMthiebi from 5 to 18 years old will attend, as well as all school staff. Within the framework of this project, IBMthiebi hosts families from Ukraine. The project is supported by the Red Cross of Georgia and at their request, an introductory meeting of the project with Ukrainian families was held today
02.06.2022 – The summarizing project of the year – Write, Read, Speak – for students aged 5, 6, and 7 at the primary school of IB Mthiebi has been completed. The summary week’s purpose was to develop students’ oral speech skills. Sopho Sharashidze, the head of the elementary school, was the project manager. The project was conducted by Georgian, mathematics, science, history, and foreign language teachers of primary school, in which class educators were actively involved
03.06.2022 – On June 3, the annual summarizing creative and relaxation day was held at Ilia Lake in Kvareli, to which attended about 1400 students from IB Mthiebi, about 600 parents, and all school staff. IBMthiebi hosted families from Ukraine and they were pleased to participate in various activities.

10.06.2022 – The English Language Department of IB Mthiebi summarized the academic year and presented the play Oliver Twist. Learning is always fun when it is creative and tailored to the student’s interests. We are completing an English language course and will see you again next school year with the news
15.06.2022 – An interesting and interactive meeting was held for 11th-grade students of IB Mthiebi on the following topics: how to prepare for becoming a university student, how to choose a profession and what influences their decision, why should they get involved in student activities and professional volunteering, what skills are needed for future university students and how to adapt to university after school.
Our guest was Muro Takalandze – a trainer, a lecturer in pre-undergraduate programs and career development, and a specialist in strategic communications
16.06.2022 – Literary salon on Tamar Gegeshidze’s “ჩუმად უნდა იჯდე“ (You Should Sit In Silence) was held in the Librarium of the IB Mthiebi, where the students and teachers of the IB Mthiebi participated.
In the evening, students shared their impressions and emotions of the books, talked about peer characters from books, and read excerpts from them
20.06.2022 – The administration of Didube District held an awarding ceremony for excellent students of district schools.
IB Mthiebi was represented by 30 medal-winning students, who were awarded certificates and gifts.

21.06.2022 – EU-Georgia Business Forum 2022 was held for the first time in Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Metekhi Palace, organized by the European Business Association and supported by the European Union.
The forum was attended by over 200 people, including the EU Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzell, representatives of the Georgian Parliament, Government, Business Support Organizations, European Businesses from different sectors, Diplomatic Corps, International Organizations, and Financial Institutions. The founder and general director of IBMthiebi, Nino Chikvaidze, and the co-founder and financial director of IBMthiebi, Ana Javakhishvili, were invited to the forum.
